Clayton 85

It was just a regular day for Clayton 85

But it was today that Cindy lost her life.

There was no tone and no 85 in-route

Just an accident that brought the total silence.

Her partner asked if she was ok no response was heard.

Little did he know Cindy was now gone

The bagpipes will now be played and taps will be blown.

If you listen carefully you can hear the siren whine

Or is that just Cindy saying that she is fine.

Firefighters from Dayton, Harrison and Butler too.

Will all be in attendance to say farewell to the hero that they knew.

Who once rode on Clayton 85.

(dedicated to Firefighter Cindy Verberg who was killed in the line of duty)
