My fireman

5am the whistle blows. He says “I’ll see you later”

He’s out the door and on his way to help another stranger

He doesn’t care how old or young

What gender or what race.

It’s something he just has to do he feels that it’s his place

He does it not for money or fame

He does it to help others

He says “this could be my place, My kids or my mother”.

God put him here for reason only he could know.

But I believe it is because he has a tender soul

A calming touch,

A stern voice

A love for fellow man

It makes him what he is today

He is my fireman
